The Sheltowee Network is the entity that holds the for profit pieces of the Sheltowee Ecosystem which includes the Sheltowee Business Network, the Sheltowee Angel Network, the Sheltowee Venture Fund and the Sheltowee Medical Device Fund.

The Sheltowee Angel Network helps establish angel investing groups in different communities.  We currently have groups in Knoxville, Nashville and Louisville and will be expanding in the coming months.  

The Sheltowee Venture Fund invests in very early stage companies.  We work closely with the Sheltowee Business Network and make monetary capital investments in coordination with human capital investments from the Sheltowee Business Network.  The companies listed in this Community Portal are part of the Sheltowee Venture Fund's portfolio.  The Sheltowee Venture Fund I has a model similar to a Venture Studio model where we invest in companies at a very early stage and work the Sheltowee Community to move the companies forward.    

The Louisville Healthcare CEO Council (LHCC) is excited to announce the Healthcare Ventures Challenge powered by AARP Innovation Labs. LHCC is seeking proposals for innovations that address barriers to Affordable Healthcare Solutions for older adults. 6-8 finalists will be selected to present at a virtual Healthcare Ventures Challenge on August 5th, 2021. Finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their interventions to investors and healthcare executives that span the entire continuum of care. One winner will be selected to move forward and pitch at the AARP Innovation Labs Grand Finale Pitch Competition this fall.

The Derby City Angels is an angel investor group in Louisville, KY that is part of the Sheltowee Angel Network.  

Louisville Entrepreneurship Acceleration Programs, or LEAP, offers resources, including educational series, networking events and mentorship opportunities tailored for healthcare startups of all stages. LEAP is where innovators come to meet corporate leaders, understand their pain points, access data available nowhere else, and bridge the gap between product and market.

The Sheltowee Business Network (SBN) is a membership based organization that assists entrepreneurs in growing their companies.  SBN is made up of a network of highly successful entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and business advisors who can help entrepreneurs reach their business goals.  SBN can mentor and provide advisory services that can help entrepreneurs raise capital, do business development, conduct strategic planning and assist in areas where the founder needs help.  SBN is a membership organization and our members have the opportunity to earn equity and fees by helping our entrepreneurs who participate in the Sheltowee Advisory Services program.  

The Louisville Konexon's Community Portal is maintained by the Sheltowee Business Network.
