Liberate Medical is a clinical-stage medical device company focused on respiratory disease. Its lead product, the VentFree Respiratory Muscle Stimulator, reduces the duration of invasive mechanical ventilation by automatically applying non-invasive neuromuscular electrical stimulation to the expiratory muscles in synchrony with mechanical ventilation. This is a large and expensive problem with an estimated potential total addressable market in the US & EU of $1.5B+.
