EAST COUNTY LEADERS WORKING TOGETHER
March 20, 3-5:00 pm
The Montera, La Mesa
San Diego 4.0 is the World’s First Large-Scale VR for good community projects. Learn How Cities, Chambers of Commerce, and Senior Living Leaders are Coming Together to Support Dementia Patients.
Senior Loneliness
America has a senior loneliness crisis. New research asserts that senior loneliness and isolation lead to negative health consequences that include a higher risk for dementia.
San Diego 4.0
Living Leaders are Coming Together to Support Dementia Patients. San Diego 4.0 will support seniors with hundreds of immersive VR Experiences in local parks, hiking trails, beaches, adventures, and places of worship. These 360 videos will be donated to senior living, hospital, and hospice organizations.
Validation
The community project will seek to validate the hypothesis that hyper-local and familiar VR experiences support seniors to feel loved, connected, and empowered.
