Story was founded in 2016 by Natalia Bishop.  What started as a 1500sqft shared studio space for photographers quickly became a gathering spot for creatives and freelancers looking for community and a place to get work done.  $3000 and an Ikea trip later, the second iteration of Story was under way, this time in the NULU neighborhood with a new mission to include the doers, the shakers, the dreamers, and innovators in our city.  In 2017 we signed a lease for an additional 12000 sqft at The Center By SIDIS building with the sole purpose of supporting entrepreneurs through their journey.  2019 brought with it the launch of Story Labs, our service and programming division as well as the acquisition of the Wild brand assets and a commitment to support their non-profit which includes an Accelerator for Female Founders.  In 2020 Story entered the Germantown neighborhood with the launch of a new space at Germantown Mills Lofts with a focus on programming that fosters Equity and Inclusion in our entrepreneurial Community. After a hard hit from COVID Story closed it’s Market Street and Germantown locations to refocus its effort into making 900 E Main the best place to “get shit done.” Now, Story stands as one of the most welcoming, inclusive, and innovative spaces in Louisville, and has launched their Custom Workspace Solution Services and brought on Community Champions such as Amplify Louisville, University of Louisville, and Yloft, LLC.

Story is more than just beautifully designed physical space, we are a community fostering the growth of founders and entrepreneurship in our region.. Story is home to Louisville's top entrepreneur service providers and accelerators whose shared mission is to encourage innovation in the region, and features amenities like event space, a 25+ person classroom, a podcast/ live stream studio, restaurants, a rooftop deck, and coworking space located on the premises for the founders it serves.
