Biography

Ms. Gartman is the Publisher of Seniors Blue Book in South Central PA.  Seniors Blue Book is the premier resource in the senior care industry, assisting seniors, their family members and professionals working with seniors.  Seniors Blue Book allows Cynthia to capitalize on her skill sets in senior housing, healthcare and sales.   Cynthia has obtained her National Certified Guardian, Texas Certified Guardian, Certified Senior Advisor designations as well as her assisted living director licensure in 14 states.

Ms. Gartman is involved locally as a leader with:  SING (Senior Informational Networking Group) in York county; Lebanon 50+ Festival; ALPHA, Community Engagement Lead (Alliance for Low-Income Personal Care Home Advancement); Lebanon 50+ Festival, Chair and Aging2.0 Ambassador for South Central PA.
  
Over the last 25 years, Ms. Gartman has had a strong career in franchising as both a franchise company executive and franchisee.   Her career has spanned the healthcare, senior living, hospitality, advocacy, real estate and oil & gas industries.  Currently, Ms. Gartman is active on several committees within the International Franchise Association (IFA) including the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives board of governors where she is past chair.  Previously she was the vice-chair of the Educational Foundation, on the Convention Committee for many years; past chair of the Minorities in Franchising committee, and was the co-chair of the Philadelphia Women’s Franchise Network. 

Ms. Gartman received a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Texas. An acclaimed speaker and writer in the area of aging, franchising, social media and diversity in the workplace, Ms. Gartman has published articles in publications such as Franchising World and Franchise Times magazines and has been featured in some of the top resources on franchising, including the 2008 best-selling book The Franchise Times Guide to Selecting, Buying and Owning a Franchise by Babcock and Bennett and the 2010 entrepreneurial textbook used in college courses in the U.S., Small Business Management by Longenecker, Petty, Palich and Moore.
